STOLEN VIDEO EXPOSES UNN LECTURER ALLEGEDLY COLLECTING #16,000 BEFORE ISSUING CLEARANCE FRESH STUDENTS
Students of Faculty of Agriculture in University of Nigeria, Nsuka have raised alarm over alleged illegal fees being collected by the lecturer in charge of clearance.
A video sighted on the Facebook wall of a Presidential Aide, Tope Fasua shows the lecturer allegedly collecting cash from the students in the name of clearance.
A voice behind the stolen shot lamented that #16,000 was being collected from students, most of who struggled to send themselves to school.
“Not all students have rich parents as many of us including myself are struggling to sponsor ourselves. People should come to our aide”.
“He will tell you he doesn’t take transfer. If this is legal, the faculty is supposed to have an account but he is just collecting cash from hundreds of first-year student before they are given clearance”.
“I don’t understand why you have to pay #16,000 to someone before your given matric number. The Minister of Education, President Bola Tinubu should please wade in”, the young man pleaded.
The students expressed the hope that the Chairman of the Governing Council, Engr. Kayode Ojo would never tolerate such if he was aware.
They therefore pleaded with all relevant stakeholders to help take their case to the Pro-Chancellor and other higher authorities.
