There was palpable tension on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway on Wednesday as commuters ran helter skelter following an attack by unidentified gunmen on the route.
Information available indicates that unknown gunmen shot sporadically into the air injuring at least one person who was struggling to survive at about 6.00pm.
The incident reportedly happened near Sapade on the ever busy expressway.
The situation led to gridlock and standstill as motorists on both sides of the dual carriageway could not continue with their trip.
Naijaparrots could not ascertain the level of response from security agents or whether any person was abducted as at the time of filing this report.
Similar incident was reported on that corridor few days ago, sending a bad signal about the level of safety on that road as yuletide approaches.
