
THE CRESCENDO OF OMOLEYE’S CAMPAIGN AS REPS HOPEFUL’S TOUR CLIMAXES IN HOMETOWN
Ahead of this Saturday general elections, the House of Representatives candidate for Ekiti Central Federal Constituency II on the platform of All Progressive Congress (APC), Hon. Biodun Omoleye took his campaign to Eso-obe, Irede and Irewolede LCDAs of Ekiti State and ended it with a grand finale in his hometown of Ijurin Ekiti on Tuesday February 21, 2023.
Omoleye and his team staged what has been described as the crescendo of his campaign tour on Tuesday, February 21 with the visit to Ikoro, Odo-owa, Ipoti, Owatedo, Ejiyan, Iloro and Ijurin Ekiti to solicit the support of the people. This is the climax of his electioneering campaign for the election that is coming up on February 25, 2023.
Omoleye and his impressive entourage were warmly received and treated to rousing welcome by Monarchs, party faithful and critical stakeholders in every town visited.
It was a homecoming of sort for the House of Representatives hopeful as the Monarch and people of each of the towns visited in these LCDAs didn’t allow Omoleye and his entourage to leave on time. Every Monarch and critical stakeholder in each town visited have many good things to say about Hon Biodun Omoleye and sought to be given chance to express themselves. The encomiums and declaration of support were so overwhelmingly touching.
It would be recalled that Hon Biodun Omoleye and his campaign organization started the campaign tour in Efon LGA, from where they proceeded to Okeimesi/ Ido-ile LCDA, Ekamarun LCDA, Ekiti west LGA and Ijero LGA before visiting Eso-obe, Irede and Irowolede LCDAs yesterday.
Yesterday’s tour started in Ikoro Ekiti and ended in Ijurin Ekiti the hometown of Biodun Omoleye. Omoleye, was welcomed with songs and dance by teeming party members at each location. He thanked the Monarchs and the people for their overwhelming support and rousing reception.
Omoleye, who was accompanied by his wife, Olusola, party leaders across the LCDAs and LGAs in Ekiti Central Federal Constituency II and a horde of supporters, visited the palaces of the traditional rulers of all the communities, to receive royal blessings, before meeting party faithful and critical stakeholders of each of the communities.
Omoleye met with different groups in the towns and got their endorsement. Traditional institutions, Okada Riders Association, Road Transport Employees and National Union of Road Transport Workers respectively endorsed Omoleye and promised to ensure his victory at the poll, come this Saturday.
While addressing his hosts, Omoleye said he understand the challenges being faced by each of the communities especially on INEC’s delineation of political wards and the confirmation of the LCDAs to full-fledged Local Government Areas among others. He assured them of more robust, effective and efficient representation to solve some of these problems and also make the presence of the Federal government more feasible in Ekiti Central Federal Constituency II of Ekiti State.
In their responses, all the Monarchs and critical stakeholders of each town declared total support for Omoleye and promised to ensure his success at the poll on Saturday. According to them, it is payback time for Omoleye because of his enthralling goodwill and antecedents.
“Omoleye is going to Abuja to represent us and we are confident that he will make us proud. He performed well in previous positions because he is truly a good man Beyond Omoleye, this Saturday’s election is about the Yoruba race. It’s our turn, ‘awalokan’ and will must deliver from top to bottom in our collective interest,” declared Oba Joachim Ajibola, the Ojurin of Ijurin Ekiti.
On the entourage of Omoleye were the former Director General of Ekiti State Public Works Corporation, Mr Sunday Awoyomi, lawmaker representing Ijero constituency, Hon. Ademola Ojo, Executive Chairman, Ijero local government, Hon Adeola Adeyemo, Executive Chairperson, Irewolede LCDA, Hon (Mrs) Dupe Bakare, Executive Chairman Irede LCDA, Hon. Abobade, Caretaker Chairman, Hon. Tosin Oluwole, the three Deputy Director-Generals of Omoleye Campaign Organization, Efon LGA, Hon Gabriel Ogundele, Ijero LGA, Hon Ropo Ige and Ekiti West LGA, Hon Gbenga Odebunmi.
Also in the entourage were Mrs Oluremi Balogun, Ijero local government APC Chairman, Pa James Awe, Director of Media and Communication for Omoleye Campaign Organization Hon Gboyega Ajayi among others.
