US-BASED PHILANTHROPIST SAMUEL AJAYI UNVEILS EDUCATIONAL EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMMES
…As Ijare-born entrepreneur gives hope to brilliant but vulnerable children in Ondo State
An Ijare-born philanthropist and politician, Samuel Ajayi is championing children’s education in Ondo State through scholarships and donations.
This initiative comes at a time when many school-age children are unable to access quality education due to financial constraints.
This has taken the leadership of Samuel Ajayi Foundation to school in Ijare in Ifedore Local Government Area, offering scholarships and educational support.
The United States- based philanthropist visited St. Peter’s Anglican Primary School, Ijare where the foundation pledged to cover school fees for selected pupils and fund common entrance examination fees for Primary Six students.
The outreach also took the team to CAC Comprehensive High School and Anglican Grammar School also in the ancient town where ten students from each school were awarded scholarships as an annual commitment by the convener to support their secondary education.
Several other schools also benefitted from the gesture.
For Samuel Ajayi, the initiative is inspired by a divine calling to give back to his roots and help students remain focused on their studies, a mission he says will be a continuous exercise.
“We are focusing on the brilliant but vulnerable students across the local government area and this is to give them the benefits to attain their goals in life.
“This foundation will continue to reach out to the needy in society, we are not just starting, its been on. We now want to extend it even to Ifedore/Idanre federal constituency.
“God laid it in my hearts to bless my people and in any capacity He is leading me, I’m ready to do the work. I only need Him to help me and with the support of my people, I will scale through”.
