
WOMEN GROUP URGES OLUMUYIWA ADU(CUBANA) TO VIE FOR ONDO CENTRAL SENATORIAL TICKET
As politicians from different divides and interest groups across the state are earnestly yearning for Dr Olumuyiwa Adu (Cubana) to run for the 2027 Ondo Central Senatorial race, another socio- political mobilisation unit, OWAH has thrown its weight behind the recent clamour.
Ondo Women At Home (OWAH) is a group of politically conscious women of substances who enjoy enormous goodwill at the grassroots with their mobilisation prowess.
The convener of the group, Hon. Mrs Adetokunbo Ashawe Ogunmodede said her members are concerned about the development of Ondo state and are desiring responsive leadership that will understand the plight of the masses and respond adequately to their yearnings.
According to the group, their members came out to support the agitation because of Dr Adu’s competence, good characters, kindness, elocution, erudition wide connections and outstanding accomplishments.
“If he gets to any public position, he will render services with dexterity and sagacity”, the group stated.
“With his personal resources, Adu Cubana is intervening for the people. He’s vocal and intellectually endowed to make things happen. If supported for this senatorial position, his intellect will assist the judicious utilization of the offices for the benefit of our Constituency”, the group stressed further.
Dr Olumuyiwa Adu who has received many laurels and awards in various fields in recognition of his invaluable services to humanity and societal development has enjoyed tremendous endorsements from individuals and groups within Ondo state and beyond.
“Dr Adu has the capacity and pleasant demeanour that can add values to governance, complimenting the avowed commitment of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR and Governor Dr Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa to provide impactful governance at all tiers.
“Dr Adu will bridge the missing link between the representative, government and the masses whose expectations have not been met as they suffer alienation by the custodians of their mandates and treasures”.
The group urged Dr Adu to heed this clarion call and accept its demands to contest in the interest of the long suffering masses who are tired of being given peanuts as dividends of democracy.
Submitting their letter of support at Dr Adu’s Office in Akure, the group equally beseeched the leadership of All Progressives Congress (APC) to consider the wishes of the electorate while fielding candidates into elective positions in order to maintain the characteristic overwhelming victory in the state.
However, the popular philanthropist, Dr Olumuyiwa Adu a.k.a Cubana, through his Media Council reiterated his earlier promise to consult widely before entering any elective contest.
