WOMEN GROUPS IN
OWO LGA RALLY SUPPORT FOR AIYEDATIWA AS O’DATIWA WOMEN INITIATIVES TEAM VISITS ANCIENT TOWN
Women groups in Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State have resolved to work towards the victory of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and the All Progressives Congress in the forthcoming governorship election in the state.
This was observed at the community engagement outreach held in Owo Local government area as part of the ongoing efforts to spread the message of the governor to the nooks and crannies of the state.
It was the outreach being carried out by O’Datiwa Women Initiatives and led by Special Adviser to Governor on Women Affairs, Dr.(Mrs) Seun Osamaye and the team had visited no fewer than 12 local government areas in the state.
The event at Owo was a display of love and commitment to the Aiyedatiwa Project with a view to ensuring that the APC candidate comes out victorious in November.
The women promised their readiness to complement the efforts of O’datiwa women initiatives in educating others on government policies and benefits.
The deputy Governor, Dr. Olayide Adelami was represented by Special Assistant to the Governor on political public policy, Adewale Taofiq who called on the women groups to keep supporting Governor Aiyedatiwa and assured that various policies being implemented would be sustained.
Special Adviser to Governor on Women Affairs, and the Coordinator of O’datiwa women initiatives , Seun Osamaye reminded the women of the unwaivering love of the governor for women and enjoined them to reciprocate by supporting the good governance.
The group had earlier paid homage to the Olowo of Owo Kingdom and Paramount Ruler of Owo Land who doubles as the Chancellor Federal University of Technology, Babura, Jigawa State, Nigeria, His Imperial Majesty Alayeluwa Oba (Dr) Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III in his Palace in Owo.
The group led by Special Adviser to the Governor of Ondo State on Women Affairs,Dr Seun Osamaye was in the town to pay homage as according to her, it would be improper to come to town and failed to visit the Palace to show its respect to the traditional ruler.
Dr Osamaye informed Kabiyesi it’s mission in the kingdom was to bring governance to the grassroots by engaging the women in purposeful interactions and discuss the good intentions of the State Government towards their welfare.
Kabiyesi who welcomed the group to the kingdom, promised to assist it in achieving it’s goal as a father to all, in the kingdom.
