A House of Representatives hopeful in Ekiti Central Federal Constituency Two on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Bamidele Philips has reemphasized his determination to impart positively on the lives of the people when elected as a member of house of representatives.
The business mogul who was forging ahead in his wide consultations across Ekiti West, Ijero and Efon local government areas making up the Constituency maintained that he would effect adequate representation that would make the interest of the common man in the area a priority.
According to a statement signed by his Media Manager, Iyiola Oluborode, the consultations had taken the man described as the pride of his generation to various parts of the federal Constituency Two with the aim of convincing the major stakeholders on the difference he would make as their Representative.
The most recent was the visit to the Owa Ooye of Okemesi Ekiti, Oba Michael Gbadebo where the house of representatives hopeful analysed the various plans and strategies already being fashioned out to justify the confidence reposed in him.
Bamidele Philips said structures and processes that would ensure that the area as well as the people benefit from various plans of government at all levels have been put in place.
In his response, the Owa Ooye of Okemesi-Ekiti, Oba Michael Gbadebo called on the aspirant to keep contributing his quota to the socio-economic and political development of the state and Nigeria and also prayed for the success of Mr. Philips in the forthcoming primary elections.
The trip to Ekiti West Local Government Area also took the aspirant and his team to Okemesi Elders Forum where the Chairman, Elder Ilesanmi Ajibade expressed joy that quality indigenes of the area are showing interest in democratic process that would impart positively on the lives of the people.
Similarly, immediate past Vice Chairman of Ekiti West Local Government, Alhaja Motunrayo Adesina said the candidature of Mr. Dele Phillips would ensure victory for the party at the general election and therefore solicited the support of all stakeholders to ensure his emergence as the candidate for the house of representatives election.
In the same vein, Vice Chairman of Ekameta Local Council Development Authority, Ebenezer Adebusuyi who also doubles as the Director of Administration of Dele Phillips Foundation said Mr. Philips has been involved in philanthropic activities even before showing interest in representing the people of Ekiti West, Ijero and Efon Local Government Areas in the Green Chambers.
Other political leaders who were part of the visit and consultations include former Chairman of Ekiti West Local Government and the Saribi of Aramoko-Ekiti, High Chief Akin Oluwadare and the Chairman of the APC in Ekiti West Local Government, Prince Olu Aladeloye.
