Fanfare As Children Hold Surprise Birthday Get-together For Foremost Educationist, Pa. David Aniye

It was a glorious outing at Ekute quarters in Ado-Ekiti the Ekiti State capital where the children of a foremost educationist, community leader and servant in the vineyard, Pa. David Oke Aniye gathered to celebrate their father’s 86th birthday.
Though it was a surprise and unscheduled ceremony, the components of the event made the celebration outstanding.
Traditional and modern Instrumentalists were on hand to complement the traditional singer popularly known as Alamoke who thrilled the gathering with interesting music laced with gangan, bata as well as saxophone.
Arrival at Pa. Aniye’s residence could be described as a big surprise the children had wanted to effect as the celebrant welcomed representatives of his children, Asiwaju (Engr) Morenikeji Aniye and his brother Femi Aniye.
They were also accompanied by some of their friends and colleagues who include Asiwaju(Dr) Oludotun Adetunberu, Barrister (Dr) Banji Dada, Mr. Olumide Faleke, Arch Ayo Banson and a media guru, Seun Adetola.
Beautiful birthday cakes had been made available to add value to the occasion as Pa. D.O. Aniye cut the birthday cakes in company of his wife.
Family members who include Mr. Olu Omotoso and Ayeni Johnson were also part of the surprise package that made neighbours asked what could be happening without a notice.
Food and drinks were provided by standby caterer who could be described as part of the positive coup.
Pa. Aniye appreciated the children both home and abroad for coming up with a celebration to underline their love for him on the special day of his.
He prayed for all the children and assured that he would keep being a good father to them despite his age.
Some of the children and relatives who spoke with newsmen at the event described Pa. David Aniye as a great influence in their lives, emphasizing the roles he played before they could attain the level they are today.
