The Class of ’87 of the Baptist Comprehensive High School, Ado-Ekiti has expressed confidence in the capability of the wife of the new Governor of Ekiti State, Prof. (Mrs) Olayemi Oyebanji to complement the efforts at taking the state to enviable heights.
This was part of the resolutions at the quarterly meeting of the alumni association held in Ado-Ekiti where they unanimously stated that the ante antecedents of the new first lady are pointers that less privileged in the state would witness adequate recognition.
According to a statement jointly signed by Toyin Owolabi, Kolawole Olaniyi and Gbenga Bejide-Makinde, the alumni association reflected on leadership qualities of Prof (Mrs) Olayemi Oyebanji while she served as the Senior Prefect (Girl) of the school.
They analysed how Ado-Ekiti-born Princess worked hand-in-hand with the Senior Prefect (Boy), Adebayo Ogunrinde and Social Prefect, Adewale Oke to justify the confidence reposed in them by the school authorities as well as the entire student community.
“Our sister and friend has been showing leadership traits since childhood and we are not surprised at her level of accomplishments as an academic just as we are hopeful and optimistic that she would make an outstanding first lady”, they stressed.
The alumni association also used the medium to congratulate Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji on assumption of office and prayed for a successful tenure that would impart positively on the lives of the people.
