ONDO PDP GUBER CANDIDATE, AGBOOLA AJAYI MOURNS LATE ONDO SENATOR, ATIJOSAN ONUKUN
The candidate of the People’s Democratic Party in the November governorship election in Ondo State, His Excellency Agboola Ajayi has described the passing of late Senator Atijosan Emmanuel Onunkun as the end of a glorious political era where unique representation and responsibility was the order of the day.
Onunkun who passed on earlier in the week represented Ondo West Senatorial District of old Ondo State between 1979 and 1983.
In a condolence message personally signed by Hon Ajayi, he deeply noted that Pa Onukun was a complete leader who devoted his life to the service of his family, community, State and the nation.
“He was an epitome of modesty, discipline and service. Never self-seeking, but absolutely distinguished in all he did.”
The PDP governorship candidate thanked God for the gift of a unique man who displayed unwavering commitment to the good of the nation, noting that his legacies and accomplishments shall serve as a tonic that will energize generations to come.
“All who knew him will certainly remain proud of his leadership and lifestyle.'”
Ajayi stressed that the memory of his brilliant leadership qualities will however remain a source of inspiration and encouragement to all his friends and associates.
My thoughts are with the family of the departed Distinguished Senator and on behalf of my family , the Agboola Ajayi Campaign Organisation and the PDP family, I pray that God gives the family and well wishers the fortitude to bear this huge loss”, the former Chairman, House Committee on Niger-Delta added.
