EKSU STAFF, OMOWUMI ALUKO EMERGES ‘EYE AREOSUA’ OF ADO-EKITI
A staff of Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, Mrs. Omowumi Juliet Aluko has emerged the new Eye Areosua of Ado-Ekiti.
Eye Areosua is a traditional female title in the capital of Ekiti State with adequate recognition by the Ewi-in-Council.
Installing the new traditional title holder, the Ewi of Ado-Ekiti, Oba Rufus Adeyemo Adejugbe described the emergence of Chief (Mrs) Omowumi Juliet Aluko as Eye Areosua as a challenge to play her part in the development of the ancient town.
Oba Adejugbe who was represented by the Omosio of Ado-Ekiti, High Chief Abiola Opeyemi charged the new chief to justify the confidence reposed in her.
In line with the tradition, the new chief is scheduled to spend 27 days in-door to observe chieftaincy rites that started with ‘Eruku Oye’ and followed by ‘Ibura Oye’ after day 9 and ‘Iweye’ after another 9 days.
Chief (Mrs) Omowumi Juliet Aluko is into humanitarian services.
An award-winning Rotarian who was also a President of Rotary Club of Ado-Ekiti and currently an Assistant Governor of District 9125 Nigeria.
