Congratulatory messages are pouring in as the Executive Director, Corporate Affairs of Green Energy International Limited, Barrister Segun Ilori marks his birthday today.
Various messages monitored online described the Orin-Ekiti-born legal practitioner as a passionate contributor to socio-economic development of his nation.
In the words of the Chairman of Green Energy International Limited, Pastor(Prof) Anthony Adegbulugbe, the celebrant has been an associate of decades with total commitment to all he does.
Professor Adegbulugbe stated that Barrister Segun Ilori has always justified the confidence reposed in him as a reliable professional.
Adegbulugbe prayed for more years in good health as the former Chief of Staff to Ekiti State Governor forges ahead in life.
Similarly, a statement made public by a socio-cultural organisation based in Ondo and Ekiti States and made available by the Spokesman, Seun Adetola described the Orin-Ekiti Prince as a man whose passion for human and societal development would continue to be a reference point.
Mr. Adetola prayed for more opportunities for Barrister Segun Ilori to be celebrated.
Olusegun Ilori, a legal practitioner, and Chartered Mediator is Executive Director Legal & Corporate Services of Green Energy International Ltd ( GEIL) operator of Otakikpo Marginal Field in OML 11.
A founding member of CORAN, he is pioneer Secretary of the Association
He was educated at the University of Ilorin , University of Lagos, Nigerian Law school, Abuja and University of Cumbria,Carlisle UK.
He had various professional training in several institutions including Lagos Business School and Harvard Business School,Boston USA.
He holds BSc Hons University of Ilorin, LLB Hons, University of Lagos,BL Council of Legal Education,LLM University of Cumbria UK.
After a robust media practice as a Senior Reporter ,he later had a stint in banking as Assistant Controller /Head Corporate Affairs Omega Bank plc now Keystone Bank from 1994-1999 .
He served at different times since 1999 as Personal Assistant to Hon Minister of Education-1999-2002, Special Assistant to the Presidential Adviser on Energy matters 2005-2007 and Chief of Staff to Governor of Ekiti State and later Hon Commissioner for Special Duties from 2007- 2010.
He served on the pioneer Steering committee on the African Peer Review Mechanism(APRM)in 2005,Member Board of Directors NTA,2005-2007, Member Governing Board of NAPTIP 2011-2012.
Member Governing Board NITDA 2013- 2015. He joined the Board of Directors of GEIL in 2014 and was appointed Executive Director Legal 2014.
He holds membership of Nigeria Bar Association, African Bar Association, and International Bar Association.
Chairman Section on Business Law, Abuja branch. Unity Bar 2020-2022. He is a member International Energy Negotiators Association and Fellow Institute of Chartered Mediators & Conciliators.(ICMC
