The Senior Pastor of Promised Land Prophetic Ministries in Akure the Ondo State capital, Pastor Gbenga Akinbiyi has urged Christian faithful to emulated the virtues of the Lord Jesus Christ.
The Cleric who was delivering his sermon at the Easter Sunday Service held at the church headquarters at Shasha area of Akure-Owo expressway emphasized that Christ lived for faithful and the entire global world and eventually died for all.
Pastor Akinbiyi stressed that the sacrifice paid by Jesus Christ for the sins of all and sundry remains a reference point till eternity and therefore charged faithful ensure that the sacrifice does not go in vain in their lives
Reflecting on the travails Jesus Christ passed through in the passion week, the Cleric urged Christians to avoid sins and promote love and unity to justify the sacrifice of Jesus on humans.
He however expressed happiness that in the end, the faith of Christians are heavily built considering the various events that accompanied the passion week and eventual resurrection of the Lord Jesus.
The event featured special prayer sessions for faithful to partake in the blessings of resurrection of Jesus as members of the congregation prayed fervently for God’s intervention in their lives.
The prayer sessions also focused on possible ancestral and family curses that could hinder progress and blessings from God.
The Easter Service had in attendance both the old and young including traditional authorities.
