NASRDA SPOKESMAN CELEBRATES AMBASSADOR ROLAND OMOWA ON ELEVATION TO REVERED COUNCIL OF ELDERS
A renowned Media Practitioner and Director, Media and Corporate Communications of the National Space Research and Development Agency of Nigeria,Dr Felix Ale has congratulated Ambassador Roland Olawumi Omowa on his proposed elevation to the council of elders at the 2025 edition of IGOKE AGBA ceremony of the people of Oka Akoko, coming up on Saturday 29th November, 2025 at the Olubaka’s Palace at Oka in Akoko South West local Government area of Ondo State.
In a Press Statement in Abuja, the Media Icon said the unique occasion marks a profound recognition of Ambassador Omowa’s lifelong service, leadership and dedication to the nation and his community.
Roland Omowa who was former Nigerian Ambassador to the Central African Republic,Former Aide-de-Camp to General Olusegun Obasanjo and a revered Prince of Oka Akoko will be joining other members of the famous Mabolaje group in Oka for elevation to the esteemed Council.
According to the NASRDA’S Spokesperson,Omowa’s illustrious career in diplomacy and governance coupled with his deep cultural roots exemplifies the values of wisdom, integrity and Stewardship that the council of elders embodies.
He explained that the IGOKE AGBA ceremony,a time-honored tradition of Oka Akoko celebrates the continuity of heritage,the preservation of values and the honouring of leaders whose contributions transcend generations.
Dr Ale said, Ambassador Omowa in the revered Council is not only a personal milestone but also a collective triumph for the Oka Akoko people and Nigeria at large.
The Media scholar emphasized that Omowa’s journey from serving Nigeria on the global stage to guiding his people at home reflects the true spirit of leadership.Hence the elevation of the great Oka Prince to the exalted council of elders is seen as a pride,rare honor and moment of gratitude.

Dr Ale pointed out that as a Prince of Oka Akoko,Omowa embodies the values of tradition while embracing modernity, ensuring that heritage remains relevant in today’s world.

As Nigeria’s Ambassador to the Central African Republic,Omowa according to the Media Expert strengthened bilateral relations, promoted peace and advanced Nigeria’s interests abroad.
He said,Omowa’s service as a military officer and tenure as ADC to General Olusegun Obasanjo showcased his discipline,loyalty and strategic insight at the highest levels of national leadership.
