Chief Gbenga Eleduma Has Not Withdrawn from the House of Representatives Race for Owo/Ose Federal Constituency -Report
Our attention has been drawn to a mischievous and baseless publication circulating in some quarters, falsely claiming that Chief Gbenga Eleduma has withdrawn from the race for the House of Representatives seat representing Owo/Ose Federal Constituency under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections, and that he has declared support for the incumbent, Otunba (Dr.) Timehin Adelegbe.
This report is nothing but the figment of the fertile imagination of its faceless writer or sponsor. It is entirely fabricated, malicious, and designed to cause unnecessary confusion among party faithful, stakeholders, and the good people of Owo/Ose.
For the avoidance of doubt. Chief Gbenga Eleduma has not withdrawn from any race.
Hehas not issued any press statement, verbal declaration, or communication to any individual, group, party leadership, or the public indicating any intention to step down.
At no time has he been engaged in any consultations leading to such a decision, nor has he been “moved by appeals” to align with any aspirant or incumbent.
He remains a committed aspirant, fully in the race, and focused on delivering quality representation to the people of Owo/Ose. He continues to consult widely, mobilize support, and prepare diligently for the APC primaries and the general election. This kind of fake news, peddled under the guise of a “press statement released on Thursday,” is a cheap ploy by desperate elements to undermine his ambition and sow discord within the party.
We urge the public, especially the resilient people of Owo/Ose, to disregard this falsehood in its entirety and treat it with the contempt it deserves.
Chief Gbenga Eleduma is not stepping aside for anyone. He is stepping up for the constituency.
The good people of Owo/Ose deserve facts, not fiction.
