APC SCREENING COMMITTEE CLEARS CHIEF ABDUL TUNJI MOHAMMED(ATM), SET FOR ONDO NORTH SENATORIAL PRIMARY
Chief Abdul Tunji Mohammed, popularly known as ATM and the Balogun of Ikare Land, has been successfully screened by the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the party’s Ondo North Senatorial primary election.
The screening exercise for APC Senate aspirants held from May 9 to May 10, 2026, at the Abuja Continental Hotel, Abuja. Chief ATM presented all required documents and credentials in line with the party’s directive.
With the screening completed, Chief ATM is now set to participate in the APC primary election for Ondo North Senatorial District ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking after the screening, Chief ATM expressed gratitude to the APC leadership for a transparent process and reiterated his commitment to issue-based politics. “I am ready for the primary and the general election. My aspiration is about restoring the voice of Ondo North, attracting federal presence, and creating jobs for our youth,” he said.
ATM’s candidacy has continued to gain momentum following endorsements from key stakeholders, including Secretary to the Government of the Federation Senator George Akume, former Ondo Deputy Governor Alhaji Ali Olanusi, the Olukare of Ikare, Oba Akadri Momoh and his council of chiefs, and the Ondo North Youth Alliance (ONYA).
He called on delegates across the six local government areas of Ondo North to prioritize competence, track record, and commitment to the people during the primaries.
