The Director-General of the Ondo State Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) and State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA), Rt. Hon. Victor Olabimtan, has expressed confidence that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will record an overwhelming victory in Ondo State in the 2027 general elections.
Olabimtan, who spoke at the weekend in Akure, dismissed what he described as unfounded insinuations by political opponents, insisting that the Ondo State PCC is adequately prepared to deliver a resounding victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all APC candidates in the state.
In a statement personally signed by him, Olabimtan expressed confidence in the structures and strategies put in place by the Ondo State PCC, under the chairmanship of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, to ensure the party’s success at the polls.
He said: “The All Progressives Congress is firmly rooted in Ondo State, not only as the dominant political party but also as the ruling party under a performing governor. Despite these advantages, the Ondo State PCC in collaboration with APC ion the is leaving no stone unturned in the determination to secure a resounding victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid and all APC candidates in the state.
“The recent inauguration of the Ondo State Presidential Campaign Council signalled the activation of our structures at the unit, ward, local government and state levels for effective electioneering. With the necessary structures and logistics being put in place, we are confident that the APC will win Ondo State with ease.”
“Ward meetings were held yesterday and wards will hold meetings on Saturday, across the 203 wards in the state, with massive turnout, while some are still ongoing. Plans are also in top gear for local government and senatorial district meetings. All these efforts are geared towards ensuring that our party faithful are adequately motivated and mobilised to deliver Ondo State for the APC.
“These developments are a testament to the effective and efficient leadership of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa. The governor has declared, without mincing words, that all APC candidates must be returned elected in Ondo State,” Olabimtan stated.
The PCC Director-General urged APC leaders, stakeholders, candidates and independent campaign groups across the state to close ranks and work collectively towards achieving the party’s electoral objectives.
According to him, the council is committed to fostering unity and ensuring effective coordination among all party candidates and stakeholders ahead of the elections.
“The PCC in Ondo State is galvanising our leaders, candidates and party faithful to work in unison. We have extended invitations to all APC candidates in the state for a meeting to jointly chart the right course and develop a coordinated approach that will advance the overall interests of our party.
“Under the mantra of ‘One Party, One Message, One Campaign Mobilisation,’ we must put our differences aside, strengthen our structures and work towards a common goal,” Olabimtan said.
He further declared that the council’s mission extended beyond securing victory for President Tinubu, stressing that it was equally determined to ensure the success of APC candidates contesting seats in the National Assembly and the Ondo State House of Assembly.
“Our mission goes beyond delivering Ondo State massively for President Tinubu. We are equally determined to ensure that all APC candidates, from the State House of Assembly to the National Assembly, emerge victorious with unprecedented margins,” he said.
Olabimtan commended Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, who also serves as chairman of the Ondo State PCC, for providing the leadership, structures and support required to strengthen the council’s operations and enhance its readiness for the forthcoming elections.
“Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has put the necessary structures and support in place to enhance the effectiveness of the PCC in Ondo State. With the level of preparation on the ground, we are confident of a convincing victory in the 2027 general elections,” he added.
Reaffirming his confidence in the party’s electoral prospects, Olabimtan maintained that the APC was well-positioned to secure victory across the various elective positions in the state.
“Without being immodest, I am confident that the APC will emerge victorious, not only in the presidential election but also across all positions being contested for. The governor is providing the necessary leadership and funding for the campaign, and the people are with us. Therefore, our victory is assured,” Olabimtan concluded.
