AKINTERINWA CAMPAIGNS IN AKOKO, PROMISES WOMEN EMPOWERMENT
The leading aspirant for the 2024 Ondo State governorship election under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Wale Akinterinwa took his campaign to the four Local Government Areas in Akoko on Wednesday where people trooped out in their large number to show support and solidarity.
The first port of call was Isua-Akoko, the headquarters of Akoko SouthEast Local Government. Critical party stakeholders in Akoko SouthEast led by the former Commissioner for Information, Mrs Bamidele Olateju spoke high of Akinterinwa’s great vision for Ondo State, declaring their unalloyed support for him.
Akinterinwa seized the occasion to outline his manifesto where he promised to empower women with reasonable grants to boost their businesses.
The campaign train subsequently hit Oka-Akoko, the headquarters of Akoko South-west where the people came out in droves to pledge their support to the governorship aspiration of Wale Akinterinwa. Major party stakeholders in the Local Government such as Barr. Sola Ajisafe, among others unanimously threw their weight behind the governorship hopeful.
Akoko Northeast Local Government was the next stop for the campaign train. The people gathered massively in Ikare to identify with the governorship aspiration of Wale Akinterinwa. Speaking at the event, Akinterinwa said he was impressed by the high level of acceptance that greeted his visit to the LGA, stressing that he was confident in being victorious with the support of the people.
Thereafter, the campaign was taken to Oke-Agbe Akoko, the headquarters of Akoko northwest where APC leaders and members came out en-mass to receive Akinterinwa.
They noted that Akinterinwa is a round peg in a round hole in the consideration of who becomes the next governor of Ondo State
