CHRIST’S SCHOOL, ADO-EKITI ’88 SET MOURNS OF THEM, ADEBOLA ADEPARUSI
The ’88 Set of Christ’s School Alumni Association is mourning the demise of one of them, Dr. Adebola Adeparusi based in the United Kingdom.
According to the President of the set, Professor Solomon Adekola, the deceased was a passionate member and friend who always showed commitment to the existence of the association and Christ’s School as a body.
Professor Adekola who spoke through the Public Relations Officer of the set, Mr. Seun Adetola expressed shock at the situation, lamenting that Dr. Adeparusi popularly known as Adepass left at a time his wealth of experience is required in creating a new Nigeria.
He condoled the immediate family, Ekiti State, Nigeria and the academic community in the United Kingdom for the irreparable loss.
The President prayed that the good Lord grants him eternal rest.
Similarly, the Vice President of the set in Europe, Bimbola Orisile said Adepass has left a vacuum that would be difficult to fill.
In his words, “I remember our time together in Christ School. I remember after so many years that we left high school how I desired to see you. I remember your voice on the phone when you rang me to say “Bimbola finally we are talking again after so many years…..” I remember again when you told me “Bimbola we want you to be the vice-chairman for 83/88 set Europe”…I remember our first hug when you drove down to mine from Bolton after the nomination and our 1st inaugural meeting. I remember your support to the association and how you kept encouraging me despite the challenges. I remember at the start of my PHD journey and I called you to let you know my plans…I remember your words “Bimbola, you will need the support of your wife to carry you through; that helped me too” Last year Christmas party, I remember that I called you and you said “Bimbola, I will host”…Adepass we were mates from high school but you were my brother, you were family.
I sat down here this morning and thinking if you would surprise us and tell me “Bimbola I am back…we are all in despair and your wife is distraught not knowing what to do after your transition to glory this morning.
You rose to become a PhD in your chosen career. You became an inspiration to many of us despite the humble beginning. You came, you saw and you conquered. You were a good listener, compassionate and always willing to help. You cared so much about your wife and children, you loved and embraced people.
We will all miss you. You were an ogboju omo. May the Lord be with your wife and your family. May the Lord wipe their tears and help them through this mourning period. We are pained but God knows better how and why it happened this way. On behalf of Christ School 83/88 Europe members, we say continue to rest in Power.
Sun re o Adebola”.
