EX-ONDO DEPUTY GOVERNOR AGBOOLA AJAYI FELICITATES CHIEF(MRS) MOBILAJI OSOMO AT 90
On behalf of my family and associates, I heartily congratulate an illustrious daughter of Igbotu in Apoi Land, Ese-Odo Local Government Area of Ondo State, a distinguished stateswoman, community leader, and respected traditional title holder, Hon. Chief (Mrs.) Alice Mobolaji Osomo, on the joyous occasion of her 90th birthday anniversary.
Reaching the remarkable age of ninety is a rare privilege and a testament to God’s abundant grace, divine favour, and a life devoted to selfless service to humanity.
Today, I celebrate not only your longevity but also your immense contributions to nation-building, community development, and the advancement of women in leadership.
From a humble beginning, you rose through the ranks of public service and was appointed Commissioner for Trade and Industry in Ondo State in 1979 where you played a pivotal role in promoting industrial growth and economic development across the state.
It is noteworthy that you were among eminent leaders and technocrats in Ondo State whose efforts contributed to the process that led to Ondo State being recognized as an oil-producing state in Nigeria, a development that has continued to impact the state’s economic fortunes.
At the national level, you served meritoriously in the Federal Cabinet as Minister of Establishment and Management Services between 1993 and 1995, and later as Minister of Housing, Lands and Urban Development under former President Olusegun Obasanjo administration
In these capacities, you distinguished yourself through diligence, integrity, competence, and an unwavering commitment to national development.
In recognition of your outstanding service to humanity and your immense contributions to the growth of Ondo State and Nigeria, you have received several honours and awards, including the prestigious Gold Award of Excellence from the Ondo State Government and recognition from Rotary International.
As a former Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, your exemplary service, patriotism, and dedication to the progress of our nation remain worthy of emulation.
Your life continues to inspire generations of Nigerians, particularly women and young leaders who see in you a shining example of courage, resilience, excellence, and purposeful leadership.
Your revered traditional titles as *Jima of Mahin Kingdom, Yeye Oba of Apoi Kingdom, and Jikolu of Idanre Land* are eloquent testimonies to the immense respect, honour, and admiration you command across communities for your wisdom, leadership, and commitment to preserving our rich cultural heritage.
As you celebrate this historic milestone today, I join your family, friends, associates, and countless admirers in thanking Almighty God for your impactful life and praying for your continued good health, peace of mind, divine protection, and many more years of fulfilment, happiness, and service to humanity.
May your life continue to be a source of inspiration and may future generations draw strength from your remarkable achievements and enduring legacy.
