LOCAL ORGANISING COMMITTEE GEARS UP FOR SOUTHWEST SUMMIT IN AKURE
…As Ondo SSG, Taiwo Fasoranti leads Committee Members On Assessment Visit To Venue
The Local Organising Committee for the Southwest Dialogue to be hosted by Ondo State are putting in place finishing touches to the arrangements being put in place for a successful outing.
The Southwest Summit being propelled by Adenifere and Development Agenda for Western Nigeria Commission is aimed at reflecting on the past, accessing the present as well as projecting into the future is expected to have in attendance stakeholders in the region.
The event slated for The Dome in Akure the Ondo State capital is to witness the presence of all ministers, senators, members of the house of representatives as well as well as other political appointees in the southwest.
To ensure a hitch-free and successful event, the Local Organising Committee led by the Chairman who also doubles as the Secretary to Ondo State Government, Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti visited The Dome venue to ascertain level of preparation for the event.
Other members of the committee in attendance include the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Prince Segun Omojuwa, Chief of Protocol to the Governor, Abayomi Olasanya, Director-General of OSRC Media Group, Kenneth Olusola-Stevenson as well as other stakeholders.
It was a visit to ensure that the southwest delegates from the region have a productive deliberation.
In an interview, the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti said all structures have been put in place for a hitch-free hosting.
In his words, “the state Governor has instructed that all required procedures and processes must be put in place”.
*Security has been put in place while all other logistics are being followed to the letter”, Fasoranti stated.
Meanwhile, while delegates from across the region have started arriving Akure the Ondo State capital for the epoch-making event.
