O’DATIWA WOMEN INITIATIVES IMPARTS ON 400 PWDs IN AKURE SOUTH LG TOWARDS COMPLIMENTING AIYEDATIWA’S EFFORTS

Over 400 People Living with Disabilities in Akure South local government area have benefitted from the engagement with women with disabilities by the Special Adviser to Governor Aiyedatiwa on Women Affairs, Dr. Mrs Seun Osamaye.
The programme is aimed at providing access to funding, business supports, education and employment opportunities as well as presentation of food items.
Speaking during the programme for the special people in Akure South Local Government Area, the governor’s aide who led O’DATIWA Women Initiatives team assured that the present administration is commitment to the welfare of the people.
Immediately her name was announced as Special Adviser to Governor Aiyedatiwa on Women Affairs, Dr. Mrs Seun Osamaye swung into action by ensuring that no segment of women in the state would be left untouched by the present administration.
Dr. Osamaye led O’DATIWA Women Initiative to the palace of the Osolo, Oba Edward Adewole in Akure south local government area, to interact with People Living with Disabilities on their plights.
Impressed with the large turn out, the governor’s aide reminded them of Governor Aiyedatiwa’s concern about their well-being which according to her informed the visit.
She encouraged them to stand by the Governor , adding that their voices would be taken to the decision-making table for immediate action.
Transition Chairman, Akure South Local Government area , Gbenga Fasua and others lauded the support of Governor Aiyedatiwa to women in society.
Beneficiaries led by Board Chairman, Agency for Welfare of People Living With Disabilities, Mrs Folasade Arise expressed appreciation to the governor for responding to the yearnings and aspirations of the people.
This programme is billed to be replicated across the three senatorial districts of the State.
