As the Ekiti State Governor, Dr. John Kayode Fayemi bows out of office on Sunday, his former Chief of Staff, Hon. Biodun Omoleye has lauded him for his great achievements in office.
Omoleye, who thanked the outgoing governor for giving him the opportunity to serve the good people of Ekiti State as the head of his staff, also sought support for the new governor, Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji (BAO) to enable him build on the laudable programmes and projects bequeathed to him by the outgone administration.
The ex-CoS made the calls in a statement he personally signed and made available to journalists in Ado Ekiti on Saturday.
He also placed on record the unflinching support of the traditional rulers, members of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, members of the State Executive Council, the State Judiciary arm of government, civil servants, nongovernmental organizations, informal sector, members of the press, youths and the good people of Ekiti State for the numerous feats recorded by the JKF led administration.
Omoleye, who is seeking to represent the good people of Ekiti Central Constituency II under the banner of the All Progressives Party (APC) at the National Assembly in the 2023 election, also admonished the people to replicate the kind of support extended to JKF to the new governor, Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji to enable him deliver on his electoral promises.
According to him, BAO is a man of enormous wealth of experience, high intellectual capacity, great insight and deep mind, and who would take all of these rare qualities to bear in the administration of the Land of Honour.
The statement reads in parts,” I want to thank JKF for the trust he had in me in appointment me as his Chief of Staff. It was an enthralling experience working with him. I want to also put on record for appreciation, the unflinching support his administration received from traditional rulers, members of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, members of the State Executive Council, the judiciary, NGOs, members of the press, youths and the good people of Ekiti. Without this support, the numerous feats recorded by my former boss would not have been possible.”
“I am glad the governance of Ekiti State is in a safe hand. My brother and friend, the new Governor, His Excellency, Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, is a man of immense value and I have no iota of doubt that he would deploy his enormous wealth of experience into governance with a view to furthering the path of socio-economic and political development already laid out by the outgone government of JKF.”
“His job has been made easier because he played a very active role in the government of JKF as the Secretary to the State Government. Beyond that, he has been actively involved in every initiative that is aimed at lifting the state up socially, economically and politically, since its creation in 1996. I am sure he would not disappoint his teeming admirers and the entire Ekiti people that yearn for the elevation of their living standard.”
