ONDO HEAD OF SERVICE CHARGES STAKEHOLDERS ON COMMITMENT TO SERVICE DELIVERY
…As Ondo Chapter Of Chartered Institute Of Public Administration Pays Him Courtesy Visit
The Ondo State Head of Service, Chief Segun Odusanya has said the quality of leadership and administration would determine the success or otherwise of any organisation.
Chief Odusanya made the assertion while playing host to members of the Chartered Institute of Public Administration, CIPAN, Ondo State Chapter, who paid him a visited in his office in Akure, the state capital on Tuesday.
While agreeing that leadership is not easy as it attracts series of criticism, the Head of Service, who is a fellow of the Institute, said a good public administration should be able to leverage criticism to improve on its delivery capacity to meet the yearnings of the people.
He commended the role of CIPAN in building members particularly in the public service of Ondo State through periodic training programmes and pledged the continued support of the state government for such programmes.
Speaking on his new service delivery direction for workers in the state, “Try your best. Be the best,” , Odusanya charges all public servants to put in their all in their individual bits to ensure the success of the ‘Our Easy’ developmental agenda of Governor Aiyedatiwa for the state.
In his words, ‘CIPAN is to raise the standard of management and members to be able to aspire to any leadership position.’ The HOS said.
‘You have said it all. Mr Governor is trying to strengthen administration through sponsorship of relevant trainings. I can assure you that we will do more. We will encourage more training of staff on administration and leadership.” He added.
In his earlier remarks, the Chairman of the institute in the state, Dr Gabriel Fakilede, who congratulated Chief Odusanya on his recent appointment, expressed optimism that his tenure as Head of Service would witness unprecedented development for the service, giving his track record of excellence and dedication.
He used the occasion to appreciate Gov Aiyedatiwa for precious supports for CIPAN in the state including yearly sponsorship of members to attend relevant trainings and conferences among other things.
Also in her contribution, the Vice Chairman, Mrs Oluwafunmilayo Oso pleaded for the extension of training to the junior workers through regular in-house trainings.
She thanked the Head of Service for his love for CIPAN and pledged the support of the body for his success in office.
