A PDP chieftain and the candidate of the party in the just concluded bye-election in Akure North and South Federal Constituency, Barrister Olumuyiwa Adu has identified with Muslim faithful as they begin to observe the Ramadan season.
According to a statement, Adu appreciated Allah for the privilege they have to witness another holy month as he urged them to use the period to pray for peace and stability of the country.
He said, “This season is no doubt the period when prayers and submission to the will of Allah is sacrosanct and I urge you all to use this opportunity to pray for peaceful coexistence of our people and violence-free elections.
“I pray that just as you have started the observation of this holy month in peace and joy, so shall you complete it insha Allah”, the PDP Chieftain stressed.
He commended the Muslim faithful in the state for the peaceful co-existence among them and their Christian counterparts as he called on others in other parts of the country to emulate the Ondo state example.
