ONDO SUBEB PROMISES MORE SYNERGY WITH UBEC TO DEVELOP EDUCATIONAL SECTOR

The Zonal Director of Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC), Dr.Aisha Abdul has promised to ensure synergy with the Ondo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB).
The Zonal director who was on a courtesy visit to the board in akure in company of her state coordinator, Mrs.Olanike Adams remarked that ondo state is noted for effective collaborative efforts, assuring that the alliance would be sustained to achieve the desired goals.
According to the Zonal Director, rubbing minds together from time to time will promote effective delivery of their programmes which will play significant roles in developing the education sector.
She however enumerated some challenges encountered by the commission which include the non-utilization of the instructional materials provided free for use in schools as well as poor physical infrastructural condition of some schools.
Dr. Aisha mandated that adequate concentration must be given to the development of our basic education system to enhance a better future.
In his response, the Chairman, Ondo SUBEB, Rt.Hon.Victor 0labimtan maintained that the state is widely noted for its educational consciousness, hence the need to continue to maintain good rapour with UBEC.
Rt. Hon. 0labimtan assured the UBEC officials that the state government will further strengthen the Servicom unit for better performance.
