‘THE NIGERIAN PROJECT’ EXPRESSES HOPE OF BETTER NATION AS 2025 DEMOCRACY DAY HOLDS
The leadership of The Nigerian Project has laid emphasis on the unity of Nigeria as the nation marks Democracy Day today.
In a statement signed by the National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Seun Adetola, the National Convener, Ochiagha Reagan Ufomba stated that unity of the country is non-negotiable to ensure the “realisation of the nation of our dream”.
The National Convener urged all stakeholders in the Nigerian Project to avoid regionalism which he said is capable of causing more division than a formidable front required to champion issues affecting the generality of the country.
Ochiagha Reagan Ufomba acknowledged the roles of the forefathers of the nation, especially those who fought for the democracy the entire nation is enjoying today.
The National Convener however charged those in positions of authority to step up their game by responding more to the yearnings and aspirations of the people.
He described the security situation in Nigeria as frightening and used the medium to urge the security agencies and the federal government to find lasting solution to the high rate of insecurity in the country.
Ochiagha Ufomba charged state coordinators of The Nigerian Project to keep mobilising from the units to the wards as well as local government and state levels for effective collaboration.
He expressed the hope that the new Nigeria of everyone’s dream would be achieved, assuring that all hope is not lost.
