The Special Adviser to Governor Aiyedatiwa on Energy, Engr.(Dr) Johnson Alabi has expressed the readiness of the state government to continue to pursue innovative energy solutions and enhance infrastructure.
Engr. Alabi in his new year message personally signed by him and made available to newsmen in Akure said government is prepared to making Ondo a beacon of excellence in energy management.
According to him, the commitment and political will of Governor Aiyedatiwa led to achievements recorded in the outgone year, assuring of more programmes that would justify the confidence reposed in the government.
In his words, “we conclude this year and step into the promise of a new one, I use this opportunity to reflect on the remarkable strides we have made together in the energy sector of our great state”.
“Throughout this year, we have witnessed substantial progress, thanks to the visionary leadership of His Excellency, Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, whose commitment to transforming Ondo State’s energy landscape has been nothing short of exceptional”.
“One of the most significant achievements in the energy sector has been the O’Datiwa Meter program. This mass metering initiative has been a resounding success, bringing an efficient, transparent, and affordable electricity metering system to thousands of households across the state”.
“This has not only helped to reduce energy wastage but has also empowered our people with greater control over their electricity usage”.
“Similarly, the transfer of regulatory power to the Ondo State Electricity Regulatory Bureau (OSERB) marks a monumental milestone in the growth of our energy sector”.
“This shift allows us to better manage, regulate, and oversee the electricity sector within the state, ensuring that our citizens enjoy more reliable, efficient, and sustainable power supply”.
“We have also achieved significant strides in energy generation and regulation, with the granting of IEDN Licenses and Generation Licenses, which are crucial steps in ensuring a stable and robust energy infrastructure for Ondo State”.
“These actions reflect our commitment to not only meeting the immediate energy needs of our people but also positioning Ondo State as a key player in the Nigerian energy sector”.
“None of these achievements would have been possible without the visionary leadership of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa”.
