

All is now set for the investiture of the sixth President of Akure Professionals Lions Club under District 404A1 of the Lions Club International, Ln. Dr.(Mrs) Olubunmi Ademosu.
According to a statement, the event is slated for Tuesday, October 18th at the International Center for Events and Culture in Akure the state capital.
Apart from the Investiture of the new President who is also Special Adviser to Ondo State Governor on Public and Intergovernmental Relations, the event would also witness investiture of the club directors.
Other events slated for the epoch-making occasion include presentation of awards while members and friends of the international organisation who believe in service to humanity as a major objective of the club would raise funds for numerous projects in different communities.
The statement also reads that star projects of the club would also be launched at the event as a way of bringing all relevant stakeholders on board with a view to achieving success.
The event is expected to attract prominent Nigerians from both within and outside the country, more so that the ceremony coincides with the birthday anniversary of the new President, Dr. (Mrs) Olubunmi Ademosu.
Ademosu as the Special Adviser to Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN has always justified the confidence reposed in her by both government and the people with effective and successful coordination of national and international programmes aimed at alleviating the suffering of the people as well as ensuring human capacity development.
She has been coordinating the N-Power programme which started with over 16,000 participants while she influenced the commencement of the Home-grown School Feeding Programme that has benefited over 1300 cooks and feeds Primary School pupils in about 2,000 Primary Schools in the state.



In addition, scores of communities in both urban and rural areas in the state are currently benefiting from the Solar-powered street lights being executed by both state and federal governments.
