
LIONS CLUB PRESIDENT ADEMOSU DONATES WATER PROJECT TO ALA QUARTERS RESIDENTS IN AKURE
The Past Multiple Council Chairman of Lions Club International, District 404A1 in Nigeria, Mr. Tokunbo Jegede has called on Nigerians to embark on partnership that works in the process of providing basic amenities in the society.
Lion Jegede was speaking at the commissioning and handing over of a borehole project donated by Akure Professionals Lions Club at Ala Quarters in Akure the State capital.
It was an event that attracted members of the community occupied mainly by civil servants as well as political leaders, considering the personality of the President of Akure Professionals Lions Club, Dr.(Mrs) Olubunmi Ademosu who serves as the Special Adviser to Governor on Public and Integovernmental Relations.
Lion Jegede said Lions Club as a globally recognised organisation is determined to work with any relevant person of group of persons to better the lots of the people while challenging the residents to also play their part in ensuring proper maintenance of the project.
Similarly, past President of Lions Club, Mr. Sanya Adedipe described the project as a confirmation of what the club stands for and charged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the project.
In her words, the President of Akure Professionals Lions Club, Dr. (Mrs) Olubunmi Ademosu said the organisation has since embarked on various Interventionist projects that have justified the existence of the club.
“As I am talking to you, we are renovating the hall in St. Louis Grammar School, Akure while back-to-school packs are being distributed in public primary schools in the state”.
“As President of Akure Professionals Lions Club, I will work with government to impart positively on the lives of the people in line with our main objective of attending to the needy in the society”, Ademosu said.
She therefore announced that another borehole would be sunk to complement the one that had just been provided.
The event was rounded off with the commissioning and official handing over of the project by the past Multiple Council Chairman, Lion Tokunbo Jegede.
