
ILE-OLUJI AGOG AS COMMUNITY HONOURS FIRST FEMALE IMMIGRATION COMPTROLLER-GENERAL WURAOLA ADEPOJU

Ile-Oluji the headquarters of Ile-Oluji/Oke-Igbo local government was agog over the weekend as family members, friends, colleagues and indigenes trooped out in large numbers to honour the first female Comptroller-General of Immigration, Chief (Mrs) Wuraola Caroline Adepoju at a grand reception.
The ceremony was at the instance of the monarch, Oba Olufaderin Adetimehin, the Jegun of Ile-Oluji kingdom.
Oba Adetimehin tasked Nigerian youths to redirect their energy towards positive drive and chart a path of development.
The monarch admonished virtues of the first woman in the country to be appointed as the Comptroller-General of Immigration in Nigeria and 18th CGI, saying the feat in her career is highly significant to the community, Ile-Oluji ,Ondo state and Nigeria as a whole.
Oba Adetimehin described Chief (Mrs) Adepoju as an exceptional daughter of the town,Ondo state and Nigeria who is described by people who come across her as a true leader and a detribalised public servant.
He commended the former Comptroller-General for her dedication and uprightness, emphasising that she succeeded in setting standard for her contemporaries especially youths in in positions of authority.
Oba Adetimehin noted that her exemplary leadership has inspired youths and other women in the country.
In his message, the representative of Ondo State Governor, Special Adviser on Security Matters, Gbenga Atiba described the former Comptroller-General Adepoju as a good and true Ambassador of the state that did not disappoint all in her career.
Present at the occasion were serving and past officers of Nigeria Immigration Service, Ondo State Police Commissioner , Wilfred Afolabi and other heads of security agencies.
Others in attendance were school mates at Christ’s School Ado-Ekiti, friends from within and outside the country as well as members of the community.
