AAUA VC HAILS PROF FEMI MIMIKO AS EX-VC EMERGES LISA OF ONDO KINGDOM
The Vice Chancellor of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, Prof. Tomola Obamuyi, has sent heartfelt congratulations to a former Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Femi Mimiko, mni, on his elevation to the exalted position of Lisa of Ondo kingdom.
The Lisa is the pre-eminent traditional chieftaincy title in Ondo kingdom and is regarded as the traditional Prime Minister of the kingdom, next only to the Osemawe of Ondo.
In a congratulatory message on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, Prof. Obamuyi described the new Lisa as a cerebral academic, accomplished researcher, and an administrator par excellence whose tenure as the 4th substantive VC of AAUA from 2010 to 2015 left the institution much better than he met it.
Prof. Obamuyi expressed confidence that the varied national and global academic experiences of the new Lisa and his many years in administration and community service place him in pole position to deliver as the traditional Prime Minister of the ancient town.
While wishing Prof. Mimiko a peaceful and long reign as the foremost Chief in Ondo kingdom, the AAUA VC thanked him for his many achievements when he was in the saddle as Chief Executive and Chief Academic officer of AAUA.
Prof. Mimiko held the honorary titles of Gbobaniyi, and Jomulaja of Ondo, before his elevation as the Lisa by the Osemawe of Ondo, Oba Adesimbo Kiladejo, CFR.
