The federal government has directed all State Governments and Local Government Councils across the federation to key into the resolutions reached between the Federal Government and the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC).
According to the Minister of Labour and Employment, Muhammad Maigari Dingyadi, the N70,000 monthly transport support approved by the Federal Government commencing from November 2026 for six months was agreed to be implemented across all levels and not for Federal workers alone, as being misinterpreted in some quarters.
He urged Governors and Council Chairmen to emulate the Federal Government gesture in the interest of workers welfare and industrial harmony.
Labour leaders have also warned that any state that fails to comply will face the anger of workers at the polls.
