GALLERY SECURITY SERVICES RESCUES KIDNAP VICTIM, ARRESTS TWO SUSPECTS IN ONDO STATE
Gallery Security Services Limited (GSSL) has successfully rescued a kidnap victim and arrested two suspected kidnappers following a coordinated rescue operation in Irele Local Government Area of Ondo State.
The victim, Mrs. Morenike Falona, a 37-year-old trader and resident of Ode-Irele, was reportedly abducted at about 10:00 p.m. on June 16, 2026, at Orelopo Street, off Ebute Road, Irele Town, in Irele Local Government Area of Ondo State.
Acting on credible intelligence, Gallery Security Services deployed a 20-member rescue team that conducted an intensive search operation, leading to the successful rescue of the victim at about 6:30 p.m. on June 19, 2026, at a palm plantation in Iju-Osun community, Irele Local Government Area.
The victim was rescued unharmed.
During the operation, the rescue team apprehended two suspected kidnappers identified as Obibodefiyie Ajuesie, 36, from Ajapa community, Ese-Odo Local Government Area, and Monday Lucky, popularly known as “Gazilo,” 37, from Akpata community in Ese-Odo Local Government Area.
On June 20, 2026, the rescued victim, the suspects, and relevant case documentation were formally handed over to the Nigeria Police Force at Ajagba Police Station, Irele Local Government Area, for onward transfer to the Area Commander, Okitipupa Area Command, for further investigation and possible prosecution.
The handover was conducted by the Security Manager of Gallery Security Services, Navy Lieutenant Zakari Abdullahi (Rtd), who reiterated the company’s commitment to supporting conventional security agencies in the protection of lives and property across Ondo State.
Speaking on the successful operation, the Chief Executive Officer of Gallery Security Services, Senior High Chief Bibopere Ajube, commended members of the public who provided timely and actionable information that contributed to the rescue mission.
He urged residents across Ondo South Senatorial District to remain vigilant and continue to cooperate with security agencies by reporting suspicious activities promptly.
Senior High Chief Ajube also issued a stern warning to criminal elements operating within the region.
“We advise all criminal elements operating within Ondo South Senatorial District to desist from their activities or face the full weight of the law. Gallery Security Services, in collaboration with relevant security agencies and local communities, will continue to identify, apprehend, and hand over offenders for prosecution.”
He further noted that although Gallery Security Services’ contractual operations are focused on the riverine communities of Ese-Odo Local Government Area, the company mobilized personnel and resources beyond its designated operational area to address security challenges in neighboring local government areas.
According to him, the successful operation demonstrates the company’s extensive local knowledge, strong community relationships, and proven experience in intelligence-led security operations across the wider Niger Delta region.
