HOW MAN COMMITTED SUICIDE AFTER STABBING WIFE
A man who stabbed his wife multiple times on Friday night in Mgbakwu, Awka North Local Government Area of Anambra State has died after taking sniper.
Reports say that the deceased had called some friends and told them that he would kill himself and the wife.
Some neighbours who did not want their names mentioned confirmed the incident.
One of them narrated that the deceased had told him that he would kill his wife and himself but declined to explain the reason for the decision.
The witness said he later reached out to the wife but she took it lightly, noting that her husband was never serious.
Around 10 o’clock in the evening on Friday the husband used knife and stabbed her on the neck, and two more on the waist before the children who were sleeping downstairs rushed to separate them.
Shortly after, thinking that the woman had died, he locked himself inside the room and took sniper.
The deceased, Ozoekwe Ezeudu, was a traditionalist from Akamanato village, Mgbakwu .
He had 8 children with the woman before he recently married a second wife.
The situation took the neighbours by surprise as they besieged the compound in confusion.
As at the time of filling this report, the wife who was rushed to a hospital is still receiving medical attention.
